This policy explains how we handle data when you use the Neo Baby mobile application. In summary, if you don’t use cloud sharing, the data stays on your device. We collect some usage data to improve the app. We never sell your data.

What we collect

When you use Neo Baby, you can enter:

• Your baby's name, date of birth, and sex

• Activity logs: feeding, sleep, diapers, medications, etc.

• Notes you attach to those activities

• Growth data, such as weight and height

All of this is stored only on your device (unless you enable sharing). We never see it.

We also collect basic usage analytics via Google Analytics, things like which screens are visited and how often sharing is turned on. This data is tied to an anonymous device identifier (not your name or any personal information), and we use it only to fix bugs and improve the app.

Google Analytics assigns a random ID to your app installation. This ID can recognize your device across sessions, but it cannot identify you as a person.

Sharing with a co-parent or caregiver

If you invite another person to view or edit your baby's data, Neo Baby creates an anonymous account in the background using Firebase (a Google service). No email or password is required, just a private code. Your baby's data is synced securely so both people can see it.

Firebase stores that synced data on their servers under our account. You can find Firebase's privacy policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Who we share data with

We use Google Firebase, which includes Firebase Analytics for usage statistics, and (if you enable sharing) Cloud Firestore to sync data between caregivers.

That's it. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers.

Your rights

You're in control. You can:

• Delete all your data on your device by deleting babies or uninstalling

• Stop using the sharing feature to remove your data from Firebase

Only the baby’s owner can remove cloud-synced data for that baby. Caregivers can delete the data on their device only.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or erase your data. Just email support@neobabyapp.com and we'll help.

Children's privacy

Neo Baby is an app about children, used by parents or caregivers. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All data is entered and controlled by adults.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The latest version will always be posted at https://neobabyapp.com/privacy with the "last updated" date at the top.
